I find myself feeling small. My heart aches selfishly. The breed has lost two passionate advocates of the Peruvian Horse -  Dr. Jorge Galante and Sonja Wirth - this month. They were both a blessing in my life and will be missed.

At Midwest Horse Fair in Madison, we will be sharing memories of Jorge Galante in a memorial wall. If you would like your message included, please send it to me by April 1st.

Just now read about Dr. Galante. How sad for his and Sonja's families. Both were wonderful to Charlie and I and was always ready to share their knowledge freely. Wonderful Folks!

For Jorge memorial - He was a special person! You would never know by his truly humble nature the provenience he achieved in his medical field and in the Peruvian Horse World. He was the most generous and kind person we would ever want to count as a friend, and we felt priveledged to be counted as a friend by him. Charlie really enjoyed competing with him in the show ring! Much Sympathy, Charlie and Carol Hayden

We have lost so many wonderful people in our breed. I have not been active here on PHW, or in the Peruvian Horse world for a while...life has taken me in some different directions, but I will always cherish the memories of the remarkable people and true advocates for the Peruvian Horse breed I have met over the years.

Dr. Jorge Galante will always hold a special place in my heart, as I was fortunate to live 45 minutes from his ranch, and worked with him when we ran the Classic Peruvian Show in Wisconsin. I will always remember his generosity, hospitality, genuine friendship and his dedication to the Peruvian Horse breed with a smile.

Michele...

I've been out of the loop for several years. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Galamte and Sonja Wirth. They were true champions of our wonderful breed. What a shock!

I need to catch-up on what's going on in the Peruvian Horse Community.
