Hi Cindy,

Thanks for the reminder and we'll definitely be there... You'll also have to come and see our Peruvian Stallion Fuego Brillante... Chrissy has been riding him every day, sometimes with a saddle and sometimes bareback.. He is one gentle boy and very well behaved...

I'll have free coffee and popcorn at our Saddle booth too....

See you there...

Our next club meeting will be March 14th at 6:30 at the Torchlite in Shawano, WI. We will be discussing ranch management ideas that can save us time & money so we can spend more time enjoying our horses. We will discuss everything from cost effective health care & pasture management & equipment people have found useful in making their work more effiecient to efficient barn design. Hope to see many of you there & learn as we share our knowledge of ranch & herd management.

Big Power Planning meeting this Saturday, February 7th at 6:30 PM at the Torch Lite in Shawano. We will be planning our 2009 calendar....great ideas coming in by email like Horsemanship workshops & Poker Run Trail Rides. Looking forward to some exciting things going on this year. Also we will be having our annual club auction. Items are donated & John Mondus is our auctioneer. Some members can be very creative in thier donations....John spices up the bidding & we have a lot of fun & laughter.
We have a great time & the club benefits. This is a yearly fundraiser for the club.
Hope to see you there,

Rita, Victoria and I Audrey would love to join your group we misplaced our sign up sheet from the Oct. ride. I know that we need to pay our dues. I joined the PHW today. I'm trying to figure out how to put pictures on it. It may take a while.

Saturday, January 10th is our annual Christmas Party. We will meet at the Torch Lite in Shawano, WI at 6:30 PM. Rita serves a wonderful family style meal an we will be exchanging horse related gifts. This year we will have a little different twist to the gift exchange. It will have to stay a surprise until that time. We will also have a brief meeting to discuss some of the events that will be held early this spring. So far we have around 50 people signed up to attend.
We will save our POWER PLANNING meeting for February where we will put ideas together & fill our calendars with fun activities.
March 21-22 we have been invited to participate in the Wisconsin Horse Counsil Judges training seminar. They featuring the gaited horse & hope to have more open gaited shows in the future.
We are taking 3 Peruvian Horses & 3 Fox Trotters from the club so far. We hope to recruit 2-3 Kentucky & Rocky Mountain Horses as well.
April 4-5 is Horse-A-Rama in Manitowoc, WI where we will be doing a Peruvian Demo. April 17-19 is the Midwest Horse Fair held in Madison, Wisconsin. This is the largest horse event held in
our state. Last year Julio Soto Sr. rode Galan, the black stallion from Peruvian Acres for the Stallion Demo.
Believe it or not, Spring is coming & the trails will be open again.
Until then we will enjoy our horses & share good times with friends.
Hope to see you all at the Party.

Not only did Rita provide some great food, but she also generously offered her wonderful horses for anyone who wanted to ride. It was an excellent opportunity for people to try out and enjoy some truly exceptional Peruvian horses. Thanks Rita! And thanks to all who made it a really fun weekend!
Warmest Regards,
