This is Tobi Martin, American from Shreveport, Louisiana, living in New Zealand. I am a sidesaddle rider, but my Peruvian / standardbred cross is just 5 and I am waiting for my Peruvian sidesaddle from Peru to come. I hope to come to Fort Worth to do training with Swan View Therapeutic Riding in 2011 and would really like to see Texas Ladies aside and talk with you about riding aside on a Peruvian. I am in the sidesaddle group, so would appreciate it if you would write back to make contact. LOve your fantastic July 4 photos. Very impressive. Thanks, Tobi
That class was much bigger last year. I wonder if it had less entries because it was not a qualifying class this year. I'm sure after people get a look at the beautiful buckle Kelly has there will be more entries whether or not it is a qualifying class. I'll be practicing....
first off, i want to congratulate you and jim on a successful nationals. i know that the judge liked a certain type of horse, but frannie had such a good ride that there was no doubt that he would acknowledge her qualities and use her as reserve champion.
still, to me, the highlight of the show was the intro of cadillac, the gaited hinny.
as far as i was concerned he was the best gaited equine at the show (biase here as our shrimp has a very similar gait).
i look forward to meeting jim's gaited jack, i think i might use him on my tiara.
hope that you, jim, xenia, and eduardo recover from the long week. remind jim that he promised me a JyW hat, and also, Ruth says that she is almost done with his project.
