Thanks for the update. I have only had Rio for 2 months, so I'm still discovering everything about him. His walk is fine, and his first slow gait (the paso llano, I think) is very, very smooth. But he gets bumpy when we go faster. Then he breaks into a slow canter, which is incredibly comfortable. I read somewhere on this site that riding in a canter can help break other bad habits.
The weather is warming up here so perhaps we can do a bit more riding soon. I have no indoor arena, sigh...

Hello! How is your "pacey" horse doing? I am new (today) to the site, and posted a similar question today. THEN I found your question. I hope you have had success. If you have, perhaps we can "chat." Thank you. Karen T.

Hello Sharlane & Bill,
It was a pleasure to meet you both , at Nationals. Would have liked to talk more but you were so busy. Also, was a lot fun to watch Rico's sister. She is a beautiful mare. Love her body and such a sweet face.
Debbie :-)

Hi Sharlane,
I posted some pics of Rico on my page. Keep in mind that his weight was down due to stress and illness. He is much better now. We are going to try our hand at showing again next year. I have been riding him now that he is finally heeled. He is sooo much fun. Keeps me on my toes.
Debbie :-)
