It is with great sadness and heaviness in my heart that I write this. Today, I had to put down my beloved mare, Madura. She had Cushing’s, metablolic syndrome, insulin resistance along with severe laminitis issues. Despite lots of treatment, she was having more bad days than good. She was 17 years old.

She was the first Peruvian that I owned. Almost 12 years ago I purchased her after riding and owning stock type horses for 20 years. She was a dream come true. She was so willing and… Continue

Can you tell me what has happened with CDV Cayetano?  I have his daughter and would like to know how he has held up over the years.  We commented on your photo of him at a show several years ago.

We had a blast at West 20. Great way to show off the Peruvian Horses to a diverse crowd that are interested in gaited horses. The Peruvains really shined! We had great comments & feedback. Looking forward to doing it again next year & hopefully bringing a bunch of friends with.
I have Wed, Thur & Fri off this week......trail ride?
Let me know. Have a great week,

Dear Dawn, It's so nice to hear from you. Yes, I am still doing two calendars per year. One of stallions and the other for mares.
Thank you for your subscription.

I'm sorry, Andalusian - works the same way (strength, dignity thing).
Is the rearing on purpose?

Hellow Dawn,

Our little girl is doing awesome. She isn't walking yet but will be very shortly. We are going to miss you at the MN show. Any chance you are going to be able to go to the nationals?

Thats oaky Dawn...no harm done.....as for your mare and the cross breeding...it will be very interesting to see how your baby turns out. I like the idea of crossing PPs and Andalusians....I think they are similar enough in type and movement that the cross will be a good strong one. I, too, am interested in how the colt that David owns comes along...Sabrosa is a beautifully gaited mare with a real Iberian beauty about her that will show up in this colt in spades as he grows older...his photo is already indicative of that. I will be interested to see your foal in the spring.

By the way, your horses are really beautiful. I love your photos!
