Posted on November 16, 2010 at 6:23pm 3 Comments

A few years ago I saw a treeless Peruvian saddle for sale. Does anyone know about it or where I could find one?

Hey Donna, do you know Jack Miller?  I'd like to contact him about the Peruvian Horse...I heard he has a few in south Georgia.

Went to the NAPHA conference/clinic in Ft. Worth this past weekend with Ms. Vicky Shelton.  Met a number of interesting people there!

Hi Donna - It has been a while since our last chat, 2010. We are here in Hilton Head (moved from the Rocky Mts. of Colorado), and settled with Cender in the neighborhood barn. I think I am the only NAPHA member and horse in SC. Do you know of any Peruvian trainers in my area?  Cender and I could always use some help.

Hi Donna, I'm happy to hear of another Peruvian Horse fan in GA.  Madison is quite a distance from Ellijay, GA.  I've not competed in any shows as yet, maybe someday.  I do enjoy a good trail ride especially now when all the trees are in their finest colors!

Have you looked at Hacienda La Encantada online for Peruvian saddles?  Alberto Lummis sells all the Peruvian tack and Peruvian apparal you need to ride or show.  Plus he is honest, reliable, and pleasant Peruvian man.

Hi Again, Thanks for the information.  Looks like I have some studying to do. Right now the truck and trailer are out west picking up some mares for breeding.  Perhaps in a couple of weeks we could come up and visit- and have a pointer session - could be fun! Let's stay in touch. David

Glad you are enjoying the horses - the photos look great.  Divino is a real looker.  Perhaps we can get together and ride some-times.  Do you know of any upcoming all-breed shows with gaited divisions?  We actually have a horse or two to begin to show.

Hi Donna,
i am a Peruvian Horse breeder in NZ where there are about equal numbers of PP and PF horses - aprox 20 purebreds of each, lol.
I would be interested to hear your thoughts and observations on the 2 breeds as i do get asked about it quite a lot - as do the PF breeders.

It seems you prefer the Peruvian Horse so would like to hear about what led you to that decision etc.

Welcome to Peruvian Horse World

Cheers,
Heather
