I own two gated horses, both mares, One is a five yr old peruvian paso, the other is a TWH. Both are wonderful girls. I am not a member of any association. I am just a hobby farm. Id love to show the peruvian mare. She is from the MPP ranch in Western Colorado. Wonderful stock there!
Life tends to get in our ways from having fun or keeping in touch with folks
even not working a regular job seems what we have to take of here is enough to exhaust me and Norm to he retires later this year ,Not sure what we will be doing,I still have Elvis and Osadia but may have to consider selling Him and having Osadia maybe go back to friend I bought her from just really not sure yet,Not sure I can handle the idea at all nor really can my husband Norm we have had Elvis since born and had rescued his mom and got her at 4 months pg with Elvis nursed her to healthy through all that she got to be with him 16 mos before she decided she couldn't go any more that was a horrible day as it was also same day we lost our Diego not sure I will ever get use to him being gone.anyway busy here ,so nice to hear from you sound slike you are busy as always and happy your horses are doing well.
drop a line again I will try and check here more often ,we go on vacation Aug 25 thru sept 10 we bought a 25 ft used motor home but it is in good shape not big but has a walk around queen bed and is cozy nice floor plan for a smaller motor home class c ,much easier for me to drive like the cab type rather than the flat nose class A's
Your horses look good,I know doesn't each of their personalities keep ya guessing? Our Mare is the boss around here and Elvis pushes her patience at times
he is still so much a kid.Somedays she acts like she is in second childhood and they play all day then others she wants her space and will chase him away from her
Elvis is doing okay but we had a bad 2 1//2 weeks he had a to close of a trim and it was bad had to have vet out new farrier out and pain meds Ice soaks twice a day but he has now for a few months ultra light aluminum shoes on until we get some hoof growth farrier suggested extra Biotin in his diet to harden hoof up to and to help with grow Elvis has been such a good boy with each and every icing he knew we were just trying to make him feel better Osadia worried about him daily
then we get him all going good he is on strict diet which worries me but he is young and can afford to loose just a few pounds
I won't make him loose to much just his winter weight
Now we had wind and betwen wind and Osadia's dust allergies she got a infected eye poor girl so flush lightly daily and ointment and penicillin shot hope today it looks and feels better for her poor thing it looks so painful
We hate the wind here and the dust
we all have allergies and when we sale this place we are headed out of the dust
Osadia has to have a antihyst daily expensive stuff for daily use but she has to have it
Thank you for your message back.a kid still in high school ,
Oh boy how fun.I have 3 sons but youngest turned 39 other two are 42 and 43..so I can't tell them what to do any more.
They played sports and seems I was on the run 24.7
I was a soccer coach too for a year.
I love soccer.
Of course don't play myself any more but find I go to games for fun now with others that have kids in local area that play.
Love to stop at parks now and then and watch T ball with the little ones that play .
Guess at my age now I miss having them around.
They do grow up to fast and off they go on their own.
I have had two of them come home for a while after adults but I won't let them stay prematurely.
We are to use to our privacy.and quiet.
Enjoy your boy.Mine weren't into Band things ,couple play guitar now and drums .
Are you going to buy that new foal?
Sounds like you need one .
EloOunds like you are wanting the foal...if you can you should do it.
They can't replace another but they can help keep you busy and make you smile
Heck when we lost our 7 year old gelding Diego last year it almost killed me.
My husband still misses Diego a lot and all we have to do is think of him and we both tear up.
So Our Elvis now has to out live us I gave him orders.
I know Miss Osadia who is 20 1/2 is pretty darn healthy for her years
If we actually do get to Panama within a years time I can't take her we will be on a set income then and will only be able to afford one.
My friend came up over past weekend and we had a great time .
Elvis is her horse Ruby's Cousin or Uncle I am confused..
His Dam was her horses Auntie I think.
when folks breed to aunts uncles cousins in breeds I am not good at keeping track unless I am doing the breeding thing myself.
She wants to swap trailers with some one a smaller one so she can pull her one horse Ruby up here to go for a ride .They live in Phoenix and don't have the open area we have to
I think it gets rolling at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 21 and runs through Saturday evening. It's a joint show with saddlebreds, so we have our classes in between theirs. It's at the National Western Complex -- nice place for a show. Hope we see you there!
It's totally free to watch the show. It's also a great chance to get to know lots of folks in the breed. We have some folks coming up from Texas, New Mexico, South Dakota -- a really nice mix. This is our only Peruvian show in Colorado this year, so I hope you can make it!
Welcome, Judee! We have a show coming up in Denver July 21-23 -- we'd love to see you there! Our club is pretty active, and it's a nice group of people. We're also putting together an exhibition team and working on parades/trail rides. We're in the process of migrating our website, which I need to update on PHW (woops), but you can learn a little more about us at http://coloperuvians.wordpress.com/ You're also welcomed to email me -- firstname.lastname@example.org. Hope to meet you soon!
