Hi Judy-

Will do on all accounts!  Everyone is in love with Bert, so if I could help you sell Elvis, that would be cool!  How old is he?  Trained?  I can't remember.  He is gelded correct?  Cloudy and cooler today.  Thinking about opening the house up.  Can always turn the air back on...I like having the house open.  Gotta get something accomplished today.  Back to work tomorrow to the clinic.  Our county fair is going on right now and may be taking the grandkids to it later this early evening...shall see how their schedule works out.  I'll try and get some pictures from the camping trips...it'll be a few weeks yet.  I need to call the insurance and see the status on the Enbrel...been waiting over six months to get things set for him...frustrating how the insurance companies dictate so much!

Hi Judy, sorry to hear that you guys have to experience that danged arthritis too!  My husband is suppose to get on board with the injectable Enbrel here any  day now.  It's just a matter of going through the hopes via insurance.  I hope you find a good deal all around with the animals so you guys can enjoy yourselves the way you want.  I'm going on a couple camping trips coming up Sept. and then again in October.  Excited as I've not been able to go camping with my new trailer for some time since dealing with my husband's health issues.  We are also taking some time and heading to Colorado to visit friends and I plan on going on a cattle drive that I had done in 2010.  It was a total blast!  This time though I will have the proper attire instead of tennis shoes!!  ;-)  The humidity and heat finally took another break today but it still was warm at 86 degrees.  Yesterday the dew point and humidity was so thick you could cut it with a knife!  Blek!  Not so bad now.  I bought me a lil ole 1994 2H bumper pull trailer from a friend and been fixing it up.  I had a new floor put in and started painting it.  Not a pro but getting the job done.  I think it's gonna take a few coats to cover good.  I'm a sloppy painter though so get it all over the place, so its a good thing I'm doing it in our rock drive!!  I better get out and do chores and feed the horses.  As always, great to hear from you and hope to get some pictures to share soon!

Hey Judy! This is Terry's friend Debby. You may have seen me commenting on her wall on FB. I think I know who you are too. Amanda's neighbor? I have three horses,an Appy,an Arab and Terry's Hackney pony. My Appy is 30,so I will be in the market for another horse on day and it will be a Peruvian. I had one that I adored, never got to ride. He came to me to be in retirement and enjoy his last years. He stole my heart and half my soul anyways. Peruvians are the best of the Horse Tribe. But right now my barn is full and my wallet is empty :)

Howdy Judy!  Thanks for the message!  Yes, it's been hotter than heck here, but what makes it worse is the stupid humidity and dew points, although today was much better and tolerable.  Was outside all day getting things done.  I bought a lil 2H bumper pull trailer to tootle around locally and not having to take my LQ horse trailer.  I started doing some 'rust' care to it.  Nothing horrible, but mainly to upkeep.  Horses are great!  The dang flies are HORRIBLE now!!  Nothing works anymore!  I had to spray OFF on myself and our dog just for some relief!  Bert (Peruvian) is a JOY and awesome to ride!!  He is so sweet and loving!!  I love love love this breed!!  Waiting for the weather to relax and cool and looking forward for more camping weekends.  Hubby was recently diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (so they think), but he isn't getting much help from one of the local Rheum. docs.  This doc told us three weeks ago "he's baffled"...WELL??? HELL?? Dude!  what about referral!!??  Shoot we are only 4.5 hours from Mayo.  I'm tempted to convince my hubby into going that direction.  It kills me seeing him have these issues.  Trying to hang in there the best we know how.  I keep telling him to pray, but he needs to mean it...don't know if he has or not.

Anyway, overall, things are good and could be worse.  Our 10 year old granddaughter got her first blue ribbon in her first 4H show.  She was pretty tickled, and so was I!   She's got an awesome 4H leader too!

Well, gotta go get cleaned up as I'm filthy!  LOVE you keep in touch!!  Oh, and your pictures above are so much fun!!  I love your horses and sooooo love Bays!!!

Hi Judy,
Its been awhile since I written. Its been hot here. My mares have lost a bit of weight. Querida looks extra thin to me. But I am told she is still at a good weight. I just have issues because she is different structure than the willow. The hips and high withers make me feel like she is under weight. But you don't see ribs or anything.
Other news my oldest son is at orientation for college. He graduated from high school this last may. My other son is going into 10th grade this year. I hope all works out so you can keep both of your horses. Specially Elvis. When we have an animal that we have done so much for. They become like our child. And that makes it so much harder when we have to part with them regardless of why.
Well I hope you have a wonderful vacation.

Hi Judy,

Been awhile since I been on here. Been trying to get my old Paso gelding that is almost 30 in shape for winter. With draught this summer grass yucky. He is doing pretty good. Miss Juanita I think got bred across the fence with the Friesian. Naughty girl. She had a half Friesian and half Peruvian Paso filly a year before I bought her and boy was it a looker. Hope this one looks as good and picks up the Paso gait. I have been busy busy and with it being cold I finally sat down and doing some computer work that needs done.Take care!

Wow he is a big guy. Your boy is looking very handsome.Sorry its been so long since I have written. I have been super busy. I just started working again to top it off. I have done two weeks of training and have two more weeks to go. My girls are doing great. It has only taken me a year to realize that I dont need to stress over everything on Querida (she is the peruvian) the TWH has got her trained on where and what she can do. I think they have gotten me trained on not stressing over it haha. Hope all is well with your and yours.
