So difficult to find a PP experienced trail horse for sale. Can't seem to convince Jody to give up Junior! (ha). Many advertised for sale as trail horses, when explored further, really DON"T have…Continue
"We have 3 of that exact horse right now... 2 were rescues. Sometimes the best horses turn up in the worst situations. Both are older - 18 and 19 years old. One is metabolic and needs to get specific supplements every day. The other gets about 5#…"
"It may become increasingly difficult. The number of Peruvian horses being bred is way down, very likely not enough to sustain the current aging population. Less breeding, less training, less sales, the Peruvian horse industry in the U.S. is in dire…"
I went through the exact same issue. I bought 3 geldings. I felt they were trail worthy after spending 2 hours riding them. I brought them home and it was a train wreck. I ended up hurt, my niece was hurt and I was really mad! Come to find…"

"Here in this part of California, it is hard to find horses trained for trail from the breeders. My friend bought and sold five PP horses she was assured were "trail horses" before she actually found one that was a trail…"
"I think you guys should take the lead of the other gaited breeds and put videos up of the horse actually on the trail and being challenged by typical trail obstacles, water crossing, bridges, it is so easy to have someone just tape you on…"
"Lyn Omhundro in OR is a wonderful trainer, who focuses on trial, but also shows. D Ranch has several very well trained horses - Tony Botello does extensive ground work with all their horses from a young age. It would definitely be worth…"
"Laura, They are in Bonanza, OR, near Klamath Falls area.
