I have a Peruvian and Standardbred cross which turned out to be incredible. The termino and brio offer beauty and comfort while providing a height of close to 16h. My neighbor breeds Peruvians, Dr Elizabeth Thomas so I knew the Peruvian Stallion and Standardbred Mare. The experiment was a huge success. Looking for another cross for trail riding. Also looking at Peruvian Gelding from the same Peruvian Stallion to add.and sell my 2 TWH. Also, friends with Deb Woodie, Peruvian Breeder also. Own an equestrian retreat in the Jefferson National Forest, Va so the Peruvians are ideal for the mtn rides.

it's great to see another fan of the Peruvian x stdb. We have many of them here in NZ (largely because there were very few purebreds) and have found them to be beautiful, great to ride, and versatile. You can see a bunch of them on my page pics. I think they will always be a popular option here because of their varsatility, my daughter's horse Buddy - PP x stdb - is 16.2hh, 6yo and still growing. She is teaching him to jump and he loves it :)
