Your Palomino's look similar to mine. I have a 10 year old mare and a 5 year old mare that is dark golden and a two year old colt with four white feet. They are wonderful and very gentle but give a great ride. I ride trail in the foothills and mountains. They cross bridges and streams. My 5 year old went in the ocean when she was only three and was very willing.
Hi Terry - we were just talking about you today, and how much help you were last pring when we were working throguh Allie's DSLD diagnosis. Yes, Allie is back with her former owner for retirement -- we got a surprise email today -- Allie is pregnant! They don't know who the sire is -- but she was penned next to her two year old stud colt, when she was in heat....
We have two new Peruvians -- bought a 16 year old dignified trail horse from Diamond Spring Peruvians in July, and last month we bought a 4 year old mare from Sonja Wirth, Rick Mero is training her for us. So with our first 2 Peruvians (Procer and Nino) we now have 4 horses to take care of. We are stopping at that! We are having a lot of fun trail riding for now -- over the winter we may try Paso Pelota in the indoor arena.
The Mexican rancho is slowly taking shape -- still under construction, we hope to move there by the end of 2009.
