Negative blogs about peruvians

Following is a copy of a forum on Yahoo Answers.  I am seeing more and more of these.  If anyone has more experience and knowledge regarding this breed, I think you should respond to these.

First off, not all Peruvian Pasos display the trait called termino. It accomplishes nothing as it's just a particular way of moving found in some horses to some degree within the breed. It's also found in plenty of other gaited and non-gaited breeds, usually called winging. Too…

Hi,

I was wondering if you think my friend's Peruvian Paso is too fat.  She swears he is not, and you basically have to do the splits to get on him, and I am 5-10!  Please let me know, thank you.

I am very concerned for my friend because he is a gelding, weighs almost 1100 lbs is 14.3 and doesn't get worked a lot.  He has a huge cresty neck and a large barrel, but then on top of the barrel is two huge fat pockets.  I don't want her to be sad and you can't just tell her that her horse is fat because she will get defensive.

I tried to attach a picture, but there are pictures of him.  He is shown with my mare.  My horse is the little one and he is the larger horse.  My album is titled Rosee if you want to see pictures of him.

Thank you.

Hi Vicki , sorry that it took me so long to get back to you. I have a Tn. breed racking horse that is about 19 - 21 mph and my speed horse which is a Standard breed is 28 plus mph. At this speed he is doing a swinging pace. The last time that I was on a pp was many years ago. I love the smoothness that they have but if you feel the need for speed all I can say is Rack On.

Vicki, I got a picture of my PP Rosee up now.  There is also another picture of her gaiting at liberty.  Thanks for letting me know I can post pictures, I will keep posting them as I get them!  - Sharee

That link was for the 2009 live webcast. Don't know what happens to it after the show is over. Watch this sight. Last year they did a live webcast of the national show from Peru. It was a great effort and I hope they do it again this year.
