I found out that Danesa does not have DSLD.  I am glad I found her at Rancho Chahuchu as she is the best minded horse ever.  She is a lovely horse that will take time to heal.  She just needs a long lay-up and no riding for 8 months.

She has an acute tear of the lateral oblique distal sesamoidean ligament, surrounded by soft tissue proliferation and significant associcated digital effusion.  Relativdely mild distal suspensory branch desmopathy.

Was glad to hear from you and thanks for the well wishes for Danesa's healing.  Her torn ligament healing is going to be a long and tedious.  She has to be confined to stall rest and small corral for 6 more months and no riding for a year (If healed that is)  I oped for the treatment of PRP/IRAP on her.  (6 injections of her platlets into the fetlock joint over 2 month period) and change the standing wrap on her lower hind leg every other day for many more months.

In 2004 we went to Prescott to look for ranch property in Chino Valley.  However, we could not get a buyer for our ranch here in Grass Valley, CALIF .  This spring we are going to try and sell our ranch again.  Maybe move to Santa Barbara, CALIF hopefully.  I love your fotos of your Peruvian Pasos

Hmmmmm, keep those ultrasounds and get a second opinion/save them for future reference should something similar happen in the future.
