About Krisna Farm

I have been involved with horses in some fashion for most of my life. Years ago (let's leave it at that) we had Quarter Horses and Apps, but with age we found that a weekend ride or event turned into a week of recovery, and so about 20 years ago we discovered the Peruvian Paso Horse. We started our own breeding program a few years later and produced "Horses of a different color". Although not entirely planned, we had focused on bloodlines we felt would contribute to strong, well gaited Peruvian Horses with good attitudes, Mantequilla and SR Chilcal with an infusion from Fenix and his north/south blood thru our stallion Espejo de Fenix.
What we have produced is horses that are everything we wanted, strength, pisos, and disposition, with the plus of different colors then the normal chestnuts and bays.
We don't focus on the show circuit, although we have participated in regional Shows and a couple of nationals in the past, but utilize our family of equines for trail rides, parades, schooling, and to share the Peruvian Horse experience with others.

Hi Jack and Edna,
Hope you both are doing well. A lot of rain here but were all doing very well.
I thought I would share some updates on Maravilla. She is doing wonderfully. Her ground manners have improved greatly. After they eat at night, I cross tie both her and Suave' and clean them up. She stands so nicely and gives me all four feet to clean. I can stand behind her and brush her tail, but I mostly stand to the side. Can't be to careful.
I ponied her with Suave' in the pasture. She did really well. I was very surprised. I read about how to pony a horse and was ready for anything but she behaved like a good girl that she is. Suave' was very patient with her. I am so glad they get a long so well. I use verbal commands like walk, trot or gait, and whoe and she is responding by following Suave' since he knows all the commands. I am going to miss her when she goes up to your place/Angels for training. She says good morning every morning when I go out to feed them. If nobody comes to me I can always count on Mara to be there.
I will have more pictures for you soon. I bought her a jolly ball I think there called. She loves playing with it. I will hold it for her and she will take it and throw it. We both go over to it and she will nose it to make it roll. It is so funny to watch.

How is the new baby doing? Do you have more pictures to share?
I would love to see them.

You both take care,
Pam, Suave' and Maravilla

Hi Jack, How are you and Edna?
Yes, Helen sent me some pictures of him. He is beautiful! Is he all black any white on him? His mom is beautiful too.
I will definatly share pictures. Maravilla is doing so well. She is a very smart girl. I love her so much. I work with her everday, from just a walk to the park to round pen work (in the pasture, don't have round pen yet). She cross ties very nicely. She even stood still for the farrier. He was quite impressed. I am taking my time with her though, I don't want to overwhelm her. She has bonded with the other three horses so nicely. It is wonderful to watch them out in the pasture.
Jack, I want you both to know, Maravilla took my heart the first day I met her. I always wanted a baby to teach. I feel they teach us as well. It's an amazing feeling. She and Suave are my kids, yes spoiled but only to a point. It is hard for me to put in words (without tears) but I thank all of you for this wonderful opportunity with this wonderful little girl.
I will post pictures as soon as I can. Hope to see you both soon.
Take care, Pam, Suave and Maravilla :o)

Hi Jack-

It is done. I have featured your new show. If you would like to get even more exposure on the site, I'd suggest writing up a Blog Post related to the fact that this is your first George show, and some information, you can even upload a pdf file or document that contains your show premium for our members/visitors to download directly from the site.

If you would like any assistance with any of this, just let me know.

Hi Jack-

We have a new member who lives in NC, Julie Boone. She is new to the breed and is looking to purchase her first Peruvian Horse. I have referred her to you as well as 3 other breeders that are in your same vicinity. You are all about 5.5 hours away from her, so figure she may be able to take a day trip and visit several ranches.

If you have a moment, stop by her page to welcome her.

Hi Jack,

So good to hear from you! Hope you like your move to beautiful Georgia, and that you and Edna are feeling fine. Magnifico is doing great! I just adore that horse. He is a rarity for Peruvians, since he is doing dressage and advanced high school. I ride him every day, six days a week, both in the arena and out on trail rides. Can you believe he's 10 yrs. old? I'll post some photos to this group when I get a chance. Gary is doing fine, after a bout with cancer. He's a survivor. And I'm still training horses, all kinds of breeds. When I couldn't find a Palomino Peruvian Paso stallion to my liking, I just got a Palomino TN Walker stud colt. Five months and already doing tricks. Talk about Head Start for Horses!

Take care,
